Our custom-shape and spinner coins break out of the circle. Die-cut shapes follow your emblem’s natural outline — a shield, a badge, a state, a dog tag, an arrowhead, a bottle silhouette — so the whole coin becomes the crest instead of a crest printed on a disc. Spinner coins go one step further: a two-part build with an inner center mounted on a precision pin, so the middle spins freely inside the outer ring. Hand one over and watch what happens — nobody sets a spinner down without giving it a turn.

Both formats build on the same die-struck construction as our round coins, with soft or hard enamel color, antique or polished plating, and full designs on both faces. On spinners, the two layers can play against each other — a compass rose turning inside a unit crest, a propeller inside a squadron ring, a badge rotating inside a department seal. Cutouts inside the silhouette add another layer of depth to custom shapes.

Shaped coins run 1.5 to 3 inches at their widest point in 3mm or 4mm thickness, and spinners use a slightly heavier body so the mechanism sits solidly. Our designers engineer the outline so thin points stay durable and the spin stays smooth, and you approve the exact cut path in your mockup before we tool the die.
